Structural Designer is instrumental in bringing “Dream of Architects” in Reality. Architects always have fascination for large spans, great heights, awe inspiring overhangs, fancy shapes. Many of the times, these requirements emerge out of functional requirements also. It is certainly debatable if the building only has to fulfill functionality or to cater to popular public demand of attractive buildings. In any case, such requirements are welcome challenges to any good structural engineer, which are to be met confidently. This is an effort to understand how the challenges were tackled by seniors in this endower.
