Dear friends
I saw lively debate on cooling towers.
The requirement is multiple engg-knowlede-or basic
commensense.
Cooling towes serve reversal of ,a kiln/preheater in a
cement plant or mor exactly ,reversal of blast furnece
of  steel plant. For small requirements arectangle
shape  [small one at bottom and large one are ] are
used.
For medium type a sphere like with rectangle at top is
used. Large one derived from blast furnace. The cooling
towers were wooden or steel.A silo is a well preferred
shape. But the present one is preferred,so as to
manage drought air circulation for water falling from
top@80 deg heat, to be cooled to room temp.
The reqirement of cool air is caluculated and size and
height of chimney is decided.
The requrements of air can be taken same as for house
air conditing[or for confernce halls].
Chimneys are not for cooling but to leave foul
gases.Height of chimney is to be nearest ridge of
hill,or 100 mtrs ,as per environmental norms.

Dear Members

Can you please suggest to me where i could find
technical reports/
presentations on delapidation reports in
construction.

The above would be useful to me as reference for the
report i would be
preparing for my project work.
