Hello Satyam,
I am generally in agreement with Srinewas's reply to you.
However you should not destroy all copies of superseded drawings. The superseded drawings can play an important role in some disputes between Contractor and Employer/Consultant. So atleast one set should be preserved till final bill is settled.
Also, drawings are issued to barbending and carpenter maistries for field work. The superseded drawings available with them should also be collected back.
The project-in-charge should delegate the work of keeping track of latest and superseded drawings to one site engineer, who should ensure that one full set of latest drawings are kept in order in the site office and that all superseded drawings have been brought back to the site office and kept in separate file.
Regards
