Dear Er Kaustubh Vaishnav,

You may use self locking nuts to solve the problem of loosening the nuts.

Reg. why you are getting this problem only in this machine, I am unable to answer.

Best wishes,
NS
[quote="Kaustubh Vaishnav"]Sir thanks for reply

We have nt used self locking nuts.
and we have checked the vibrations at the other machines of same capacity ,
bt why problem is arrising in this machine only? we are not getting.

Kaustubh

RESPECTED SUBRAMANIAN SIR..
We have confusion in finding bearing value of bolt
I.S. 800 -2007 says Fu = bearing value of plate and Fub = bearing value of bolt
the equation in I.S.800 -2007 for bearing value is 2.5.Kb.d.t.Fu
where fu = ultimate tensile stress of plate
but sir in your book in ex 10.1 fu is taken as 410
in ex 10.3 Fu is taken as 410
in ex 10.40 Fu is taken as 400
in ex 10.5 Fu is taken as 410
in Ex 10.6 Fu is taken as 400
in Ex 10.7 Fu is taken as 410
in Ex 10.8 Fu is taken as 410
as per I.S. 800-2007 the Fu is ultimate strength of plate so as per I.S. Fu is 410 Mpa
we can not understand that what value of Fu is to be consider for solving the examples either 400 (based on 4.6 grade bolt )or 410 (based on ultimate tensile stress of plate ) ?
it is kindly requested to guide us for solving the examples of bolted connections

Thanking you

Dear Er Hemal

I do not a copy of the book you are referring. As per clause 10. 3.4 of IS 800, we should take the ultimate tensile strength of plate in the calculation and hence 410MPa is correct. Anyway in most cases bearing strength will not govern.

Best wishes
