Respected structural engineers
I m quality control engineer as my opinion, we can replace the cement by other material But the problem is come while executing the work.Because our masons ,workers, site supervisors are very attached with conventional concreting.I think first we have to train our masons, supervisors.
On considering environmental aspect all our Engineers must work for this.HOPE FOR BEST

Dear Vinod,
That is a good idea, but will it be materialized? Because the masons will be always thinks that the engineers r good for nothing. Most of the cases themselves acts as overall engineers?
But still the real experience matters.
Thanks & Regards,
Mohan

Dear Vinod,You are talking about a material to substitute
cement in the construction. You are further putting
your observations as to the resistance by the
masons for new material, coming in the way of
promotion of the material. This is not acceptable.
You are an Engineer, looking after quality of
construction of irrigation Projects. It is requested
as an engineer you should experiment with what ever new material,
you are talking about, come out with finding of that material,
publish papers on to that, apply for IPR and Patents.
A day is not far away, if the material deserves attention
thousands of engineers and masons would run after that, I assure.
