Good morning everybody,
In IS1893 (Part 1):2002, Clause 6.2 : Assumptions, assumption (b) states,
" Earthquake is not likely to occur simultaneously with wind or maximum flood or maximum sea waves."
Does it mean that, Seismic load & Ground Water Table at highest level (generally considered at Finished Ground Level) are not to be considered concurrently?
Specially in case foundation design, for UPLIFT check, can we ignore the same?
