Need to know the concept of Strong Column & Weak Beam is required for a structure having Shear wall and column beam system. Or is it required for MR frame only?

I read  in one PPT that Strong column/weak beam capacity design not required in wall or wall-equivalent dual systems (walls resist >50% of seismic base shear. This is based an EC.

Is it possible to confirm from moderators or any experts on Seismic design?

I raised this question since in Tall building upto certain height limitation shear wall is incorporated.
