Dear Mr. Kadam:
Thanks for initiating a discussion on modelling. We will like to discuss this in detail.
Your model is perhaps for STAAD/PRO. A few points need further attention. In a 3-D analysis we normally specify section size and the program computes properties on its own else we may specify actual areas/shear areas/M.Is on our own. Here some caution is needed. Torsional inertia (Ix for STAAD) should be given a low value else you will have rather high value of torque. Ignoring compatibility torque this way will not cause any problem with design. Also effect of slab and beam bending together should also be included. This is normally done by taking 'T', or 'L' properties for the beams.
It is not clear how you are modelling slab panel. Since STAAD has no mechanism to identify that the floor is rigid how you will model Axially Rigid Slab? STAAD floor load command is only to transfer slab loads to beams and actual slab is never modelled. (Any user of STAAD may please check it and tell me if I am incorrect in my assumption).
Now the questions are
(1) How you will model Rigid Floor Diaphragm (2) How you will locate centre of rigidity?
