Hi SEFIans,
Currently on using manual labor for bending reinforcement bars, there is a chance of failure of reinforcement bars. So i was wondering if there were any means to make machine bending more appealing for general construction purposes.

Machine bending can overcome failures that manual bending of TMT bars might create, but one factor to keep in mind is the cost. The transportation of TMT bars for machine bending in itself costly. So for bigger projects, machine bending will be feasible. But for construction of homes that is not the case. What i would suggest is to go for lower grades of TMT bars which offers better ductility for constructions unless it is a high rise project. They have less chances of being compromised while bending using manual labors. Which is why Fe 415 grade is the best for construction for our current engineering scenario
