Art Deco(Also called shortly as Deco), is a style of visual arts, architectural design that first appeared in France just before World War I.

Chrysler Building and other skyscrapers of New York built during the 1920s and 1930s are excellent examples of the Art Deco style. In these buildings you will see numerous art work on the outer faces of the external walls.  Several buildings also exist in Paris.

Dear  Dr. Subramanian ,
Good . I worked with  Modern Architects in Chicago who were all disciples of  Modern Architect " LUDWIG  MIES VAN DER ROHE "   He believed in GLASS  AND STEEL FRAME  exposed  high rise buildings .
Mises Van Der Rohe  changed the looks of Modern High Rise Building in a big way . He was Head of Institute of Design at  Illinois Institute Of Technology  in Chicago .

Example of Mises High Rise Building :

JOHN HANCOCK 100 STORY BUILDING  WITH DIAGONAL BRACING STEEL EXPOSED .

Regards .
