I am part of an undergraduate student project group and we are designing an Intze Tank in STAAD Pro. of capacity 900m^3. But so far we are getting many warnings which are related to the inadequacy of the different members of the staging. We have incorporated Earthquake Loads and ignored Wind Loads. Can some of the experienced persons out here have a look at our input file and suggest us necessary corrections. Is there any mistake in the process we have assigned the hydrostatic pressure. Please help us as we don't have sufficient knowledge about designing water tanks in Staad Pro. Reply expected soon. Thanks in advance!

Deep beam is not designed inSTAAD. Thus whenever a beam is sub-divided into many sub-beams or you model abeam of small length , then L/d ratio is decreased since in this case length(L) is the length of the sub-beam and not the whole length of the beam extendingbetween two columns. Thus a warning message is thrown to let the users knowabout the fact. In this case ordinary shear check will be performed.<o></o>

I would suggest that you use ENSH1 parameter for those beams where the program reports L/d is less than 2.5 toignore enhanced shear strength<o></o>
