Hello,
I am pursuing my masters and currently doing thesis on flat plates punching shear where i am taking different shapes of column. So For L-shaped column how to calculate polar moment of inertia as the perimeter of L-shaped column is not L it changes. In Etabs it directly gives I22 and I33

Thank you Sir for you advise but the books give formulas for 2d shapes but when there is punching shear due to unbalanced moments the effective depth of slab is also taken into account so we need to consider the polar moment of inertia for which the formulas are available for rectangular and circular columns and which will also match with ETABS answers but my doubt is about the L shaped or Cross(+) Column
