Hello,
I am working on a residential building project the model of which is attached herewith.
While checking the seismic parameters for irregularities, there are warnings that the building has torsional irregularity. It is not possible always to have the building planned in such a way that the structure has no torsional irregularity. My question is, how do we correct this irregularity in the case of the attached model?
Thank you
Prashant.

Warnings in output :-
I am not any expert on cadd, but I think these warning can be tackled by providing horizontal spring supports at two locations in plan,, but with very very little spring value,, I. e though it is support but with negligible resistance,, more to satisfy software 's inherent requirements..
Not sure but one can try,,

Dear Sir,
In one of my projects where there was torsional irregularity, I had to resolve it by playing with column sizes to get the correct side stiff enough to prevent the twisting. Also,
a. Column size cannot be 230 mm when you are doing ductile detailing.
b. I would not recommend having change in column size over the floors.
c. Check if you can avoid the shear wall completely. That may be the reason for the torsional irregularity.
d. Why is there RC wall in lowest level only in one portion?
Hope that helps,
S Arunkumar
