Dear Members,
I have to design a lattice tower; whose height is 30M. & the base dimension is 2.0M. X 2.0M.. As per IS 875, 2015 regarding wind analysis is it required to applied dynamic analysis?
As the structure is not closed. But when I calculating natural frequency = 1/T = 0.548, it is < 1.0 Hz. (Applying for estimation of T, consider formula for other structures)
Some of senior designer told the clients, as the structure is less than 50M. height and it is a open structure, so dynamic analysis not applicable.
If anyone kindly help me to remove my confusion, it is very greatful to me.

| According to the USA code AISC360, when the frequency is less than 1Hz, the wind dynamic effect of the structure should not be ignored. |

Since the freq is less than 1 Hz, dynamic analysis is required.
