From the sample calcs sheets uploaded on sefi forum,, one can realize that most of calculations need tabular form presentations for clarity, easy connectivity,, and references.
Even in today's computer software working,, some of sample sheets can be used to present results of computer output And even these can be formed sd sample sheets in AXEL.
Had axel existed during that period,, things could have been easy ,, but axel in its first version came much later.
Now with advanced softwares, continuous bridges can be analysed easily,, but still need for clear presentations of input and output, results still need sample sheet type presentations, may be using axel.

Dear Vikramjeet Singh Sir
I am sorry I did not reply to all the earlier posts on bridge design calculations. I was away due to personal/domestic commitment.
It was overwhelming while going through the posts and I shall be always grateful to you for sharing this knowledge through all your posts on the above subject.
I am at the moment studying the moving loads and analysis in Staad Pro.
I shall remaing in touch through this forum regarding the above subject.
Thank you once again.
Prashant Lele.

Yes Prashant ji,,
I tried to share Manual design philosophy to little extent.
With available softwares, you can touch sky,, but need to understand designs philosophy may help you to tread correctly.
But a mentor like Dr VK raina,, Dr Tandon, Sri Alok Bhowmik is still needed for in depth on various bridge compositions in line with construction methodology and site needs.
Wish you all the success , which is certain to come since a long time designer of structures running the Con sultsncy office as it's Head.
Best regards

Search for Mentor :-
A General note
Mentor / Guide / Trainer / Guru / Coach -
To learn, practice and master a trade,, need for mentor is very much there - be it a mechanic, a musician, Sports or any other field. However Our Structural Engg field requires Mentor, even more , since working under an expert guidance a to a budding designer in initial years provides a sound foundation to a long career.
Working in reputed consultancy firm with structural experts guiding, paves way for a confident, but cautious structural engineer .
Books are there, Books were there, and even now SOFTWARES are there,, but essence of structural engg gets cleared through Practice - correct. Softwares can give results based on inputs, but there is much beyond that in this tough discipline of Civil Engineering.
Design Fundamental s are never clear and while designing, in initial years of working, many doubts creep in and MENTOR role gives a great help to a wavering and unclear concepts of a budding engineer.
Detailing is another aspect - which provides transformation of rigorous design analysis / calcs into executable figures / sketches and drawings. It is final product of design efforts. This is always an area where MENTOR expertise greatly provide practical - site friendly - easily executable details.
Site visiting with Mentor is great learning for budding engineer.
Idea is that Mentor is needed at all phases in initial career.
Without mentor, you can design , but without great experience of Mentor behind you ,,
Myself learnt a lot from many mentors, but initial training of real structural design was under DR V K RAINA IN GAMMON CONSULTANCY FIRM M/S GILCON,at New Delhi which was unique due to his strict discipline in carring out bridge designs in Tabular form ( already exhibited) and drgs detailing.
Further learnt on Building desin / detailing snd other fields, but initial learning under Dr Raina always in sight.
Search for Mentor is always there,
