Er.Mustafa has asked details for Piles related to Tall Buildings. I have from my collection of references and Books(only names as they are not copy righted ones) I am attaching Two PDF files-one for PILE foundation and another one for Reference articles and Books.

For the benefit of Sefians I am attaching one PDF file in which the Pile foundatin PPT was put by Engineer. Varanasi Rama Rao  (as it is not mentioned any copy right) who will not object for the sake of spreading knowledge.

Displacement-Based Seismic Design of Structures', authored by Priestley, Calvi and Kowalsky.

A very good book on Seismic design mentioned by Er.Ravi(nrk) in his posting.

ABSTRACT :
This paper describes the structural design of two similar 60 storey towers in Manila using performance based  procedures for seismic and wind actions. High-rise buildings designed by performance based methods not only perform better than conventionally designed ones, but are also less expensive to construct.  The buildings incorporate the Arup Damped Outrigger System, and the savings realized by this are discussed.

Dear Er Rangarajan,

Yes. This book is referred by a number of researchers. In Tall buildings, displacement based analysis is better than force based approach as suggested by Er Ravi.

But this book is not available freely and published in Italy!

A paper that  summarizes the general design approach, the background research, and some of the more controversial issues identified in this  book is available in

In addition to the CTBUH Journal, already discussed in this forum, there is another journal on Tall buildings:
