Dear friends,
In my opinion, there should be common entrance exam conducted by reputed educational institute for the candidates, who would like to join the engineering college as faculty.
There should be minimum grade or marks in such exam required to make him/her eligible to join any institution as faculty otherwise fresh graduates are going to teach the most fundamental subjects in structural engineering without any in depth understanding about theoretical and practical aspects.
This will never going to generate the required interest, enthusiasm and passion in the students.
Ultimately it will get reflected in professional practice.

Dear all,
Let me state my knowledge on education. It happen when "knowledge &
skills are developed by training".
Of course, now-a-days, knowledge among students are more than old
people. But, what about the skills? It is not the problem with
Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering. We have lots of MBA
graduates, who are not able to write a good letter. Similar is the
case with Structural/Civil Engineers. There are lots of engineers with
good knowledge, but, with little skills to have solutions to many
problems facing today.
Education has to be so oriented that the knowledge acquired by one be
able to be applied on a practical situation. It it not to be limited
to Civil/Structural Engineering, but, to all courses.

Dear Sefians
Good afternoon to All.
Today's Engineers having apportunity to attend the seminars and conference conducted by various institutions. Those they focused on specific topics, which gives insight knowledge about the particular topic. Which are more useful for all and those are all discrete and no continuity in the specific topic. In addition to that conducting workshops on two to there modules will increase the more quality practice on the particular module. Which is also gives the opportunity who's missed the particular topics during their course work.

Education on Job
Engineers those who are really keen to augmentlearning do have opportunities to learn on certain jobs
I have worked on various projects &experienced that many documents are available on every project, which can beuseful to learn by self study, should reader got some interest & allow timeto read by stretching working hours
Every megha project involves many disciplines inaddition to structural specifics knowledge
All such available knowledge can be drawn fromthose project libraries
Engineering para disciplines such as safety, quality & other inter related subjects can be learnt to virtuallyapplicable extent, which attainment can be very useful
Those who work in GCC countries & with EPC orC companies must be having voluminous project design records, specificationsetc. that can inculcate into Engineer's mind higher knowledge
Actually, there are no limits as sky is limit tolearn
