By master node, are you referring to a master-slave system? So, are you asking how to specify masses in a model that does not have the master-slave command?
Take a look at examples 28 and 29 in the STAAD.Pro Application examples manuals. In both cases, masses are specified in models that do not have a master-slave command. |

Dear Preeti sarkar,
Thanks for your reply,But i didn't find the example. If you have soft copy please share with
me.My question is how to considered diaphragm action in staad without using master slave analysis. If you have any reference STAAD file or material please share with me.
Best Regards,

I do not know if I understood your question properly - but based on what I understood, please find the response below.
The current versions of STAAD are equipped with "Rigid Diaphragm" feature which is extremely useful for defining the inplane rigidity of slabs. The program automatically find the centre of gravity of the floor and puts in a node there. Now, considering that as a master node, it links all other nodes at that level with a Slave ZX relationship.
Else Master Slave can be manually defined, but finding the cg for a floor to define a master slave can be a tedious task. |

Dear Mr.Sudipnc,
Thanks for your quick response, I know the use of this master slave analysis but it is very difficult task in irregular shape slabs.I think automatic center of mass calculation is available in latest STAAD version(Reference load command is used in this process).Complete process i don't know.If anyone know about this one please share with me.
Regards,
