Dear Mohammed,

The load has to be transferred from slab to beam, beam to column and column to foundation.

So you have to make proper framing plan to transfer the load safely to the foundation.

In your plan, only outer columns are connected and there is no connection between some inner columns to the outer columns.

What is the purpose of the building?

Thanks,
Sathya.

Hi Thank you for your valuable reply. This is a residential Building with 2BHK. you have correctly pointed out the core issue about which i had a doubt. The problem is inside the house beams are very unattractive so i was about to ask "Is it okay to skip some beams" why cant it handle so small loads??? since the span without beam are not very large....

Hi,

If you are designing as a framed structure(beam & column),you have to transfer the loads in a proper manner.

You cannot skip beams since the slab has to rest on beams.

Our scope is to design a safe building without affecting its functionality and aesthetic. Also,we have to consider some basic requirements which is necessary for structural design.

Just discuss with the architect who made the building plan about your concerns and come to the final conclusion.

Thanks,
Sathya.
