Hello everyone,
I am working on Dynamic Behaviour of Buildings subjected to blast loads.
i have calculated the parameters using IS 4991,
i would want to know how the blast forces are assigned in Staad Pro, to study the responses.
i have an idea that it is assigned by force Time history analysis.
Can you'll please help me in that regard??
i am interested in studying the responses like displacements, drift , velocity and acceleration.
i have attached the staad file as well as the calculation of the loads.

thank you Smile

Dear Er Kanchin,

Unfortunately, STAAD does not allow time history on pressure/ distributed loads, only point loads. Hence, you have to provide point loads with defined time histories. Finally, apply the load with the "Time load" command, and perform analysis.

Thank you very much sir!
can i know why in time-history analysis: in time history load case self weight and other applied loads are taken positive in all directions?
why is it important?
