Dear Mr. Rupen Goswami,
You asked:
"Could you also provide us with experimental values of strains on extreme
fibers of TMT bars when bent at
different radii."

Answer:

Tensile strain in the extreme fibre can be theoretically calculated for
different mandrell diameters as follows:

For mandrell diamter = 3 x d - 25%
For mandrell diamter = 4 x d - 20%
For mandrell diamter = 5 x d - 17%
For mandrell diamter = 6 x d - 14%
For mandrell diamter = 7 x d - 12.5%
For mandrell diamter = 8 x d - 11%
These are geometrical calculations and are fairly reliable.
I am not aware of any attempt made experimentally to verify the results.
Please note that this is independent of the bar diameter.
Trust this serves the purpose.
With regards
Indranil Chakrabarti
