Hello to all,
As per the IITK- GSDMA guidelines for seismic design of liquid storage tanks, For hydrodynamic analysis good study reference is given for elevated and ground supported tanks.
But for underground tanks they have just mentioned to use the same procedure for ground supported tanks along with change in R value and to consider dynamic earth pressure in computing base shear. But how to do that is not properly given also in equation given by them F=Kh γs Hs2
How to find the value of Kh dynamic coefficient of earth pressure?
