dear all
i want to design and analyze a rectangular clarifier for an existing stp.
please help me in modeling ,analyzing. the general  arrangement plan i have attached .the soil is weak about 4t/m2 sbc clayey in nature subjected to water table at top. Geotech er. have suggested to go for raft supported on piles.

my doubts are
1.how pile raft is designed?
2)while modeling how the effect of pile is added in staad pro?
3)how many no. of pile we have to provide?
4)during modeling base raft is modeled as plate ,provided elastic mate with modulus of subgrade about 400kn/m3 then what spring coefficient we will use if we assigne some node as pile?

Dear Er

Once jumped into deep waters , one has to swim himself Pl  do not depend on others to spoon feed .

Seek guidance of seniors around you in your Consultancy firm .  

Also study and visualize structural behaviour . In case yr visualisation matures , modelling will not be difficult for u.  Just a well wisher' s view .
