Dear sir/mam
As per our subject above  In ISCODE 456  any where mention  beam design T section  is not considered support in Earthquake  structure  only rectangular section consider beam design .
Kindly clarification and specific reason for beam design is applicable or not T-Section or Rectangular

Thanks and Regards
DT

Dear Er. Deepak

At support, the bending moment will change sign, meaning
Tension will be at top. As the top of T-section will be under tension, it will be cracked and hence only rectangular section is considered in the design at support. Of course, at mid-section, the top section will be under compression and hence it is designed as T-section. Hence, more reinforcement may be needed at support for the same quantity of BM. This is true for live and dead loads. During earthquake loading, the loading may reverse and hence hence only rectangular section should be considered throughout.

Best wishes
NS

Dear Er.Deepak,
In Earthquake conditions, as the BM is reversible, everywhere you need to consider rectangular section only in the design.

Subramanian

Dear sir,
In the case also applicable  both side the  slab left and right side  Design BEAM T Section or Rectangular section in Earthquake support condition can possible only  add extra steel provide for Support according to the rectangular section  moments

Thanks and Regards
