Inclined column in this building arrangement shall be avoided as it may not provide a healthy structural system.
If Architect is very rigid,, he may be convinced,
Still Rigid :-
Eccentricity of system is never lost and upper storeys load on this column will be eccentric.
A) As regards vertical loads - these will be transferred to this column by twin actions :-
1) Through beam acting as cantilever beam
2) As Inclined member / corbel resisting vertical load tat tip through Thrust force ( much higher than vertical load based on taper angle) ,, PLUS Tensile force in the beam.
It will be wise that for such structural arrangement,, designer shall design 100% for each action.
B) Horizontal forces due to EQ
Transfer beam shall be heavy, to be designed for Moments,, Torsions,, But a x beam at tip of taper must exist tieing various columns and taking care of distribution of Eq forces
STILL I FEEL, NOT A GOOD STRUCTURAL ARRANGEMENT,, NEEDS TO BE AVOIDED IF POSSIBLE ,, SO THAT COLUMNS STRAIGHT( TRULY VERTICAL) WITH Cantilever Overhang OUTSIDE.

FOR BETTER RESISTANCE TO EQ FORCES :-
Please keep Alternate columns truly vertical with Overhang outside,, so that EQ force is fully taken care by truly vertical column s..
I think Architect msy agree.
