Sir
Please give me a solution or a spreadsheet to design a RCC column with Axial Load and Biaxial moment (As per IS:456-2000) without using of SP16 , i mean to say that the interaction diagram will generate automatically & from that the necessary values will be taken for column reinforcement/capacity design.
Thanks & Regards
Manoj Chakraborty

Hi Manoj….let me introduce myself, my name is Santoshkumar & I am working for L&T. Since from last few days even I am also trying to develop interaction curve in excel sheet but it has become almost impossible to develop only with excel tool but one can try to do with the help of VB. But somehow it has become possible to develop interaction curve for uniaxial bending moment case & that to all for dimensionlised case. If it works for u means then I will mail it to u……

See discussion under topic regarding help in constructing column interaction on SEFI website.

I recall that, there used to be one spread sheet on SEFI website showing development of interaction charts. Please search on the website and you will find it.

Pl. find attached Worksheet prepared for Design of RCC Columns. This would substantially relieve from SP_16 headache.

For further discussion, feel free to communicate.

Dear all,

Do you know any design softwares or prepared spread sheet for raft foundation based on IS standards? I think STAAD,SAFE and ETABS have that options in design, but those softwares are not available to me.

Respected Sir
I have downloaded the excel spreadsheet for Design of RCC column with Biaxial moment by limit state method.
Sir, I will request you to kindly send me another excel spreadsheet for the same design (i.e RCC column design with axial load & biaxial moment) by working stress method.
I required this for designing of bridge piers as per IRC code (which is mainly follows working stress method). In the spreadsheet i require the stresses of concrete in all corners as well as stresses for each individual bars.

Sir I will be highly indebted if you kindly send me the same.

Thanks & Regards
