respected seniors,
I have reffered indian other books and explanatory handbook on earthquake code 1893-1984 for finding out C.R. . in which some typical formulas are given. But i have come know that along with normal understanding, shear , bending and axial deformation are also important for finding out C.R.
So, I would like to know more about it.
with regards,
Anand Shah (ahmedabad, Dalal Mott Macdonald)

For multistory asymmetrical buildings, centers of rigidity at each story can be found as follows:
1. Apply horizontal forces on the three dimensional model, restraining rotations in plan.
2. Divide torsional moments about vertical axis of the building by story shear to get eccentricity at each floor level.
Steps 1 and 2 should be carried out for each of the orthogonal directions.
