Dear All,



The structural engineering profession is going through a critical phase. At one end is the crunch in the industry due to  a slowdown in the economy, while at the other end is the poor fee structure for structural engineers. Added to that is the menace of the mushrooming  of engineering colleges, some with dubious standards of education

And yet, due to international pressures of a globalisation, especially that of GATT and WTO, we all understand that there has to be system of licensing to create some sort of identification and standardization of skills in our community.
